1. In one sentence, what do you want MNCAR members to know about your business?

I provide corporate real estate services, tenant and buyer representation, development, acquisitions & dispositions, and strategic advisory services on a local, regional, and national level.

2. Name one fun fact that makes your company or yourself different from others.

I started my career working for a developer in Dallas. After moving to MN, the first fifteen years of my career I was focused on retail tenant representation. I have transitioned more into office and industrial in the last 7 years. My background in retail has made me be more strategic in every assignment I am a part of rather than transactional.

3. What was your most interesting project of the year and why?

I had the privilege of working with the Thomson Reuters acquisition team that played a pivotal role in securing their new 300,000-square-foot headquarters at The Landing in Eagan. Our team conducted an extensive market analysis, presenting a range of exceptional options. Ultimately, through strategic negotiations, we successfully arranged a favorable long-term sublease for them in a newly constructed building, situated just a short distance from their existing campus in Eagan. Earlier this year they began working in their new office which better reflects the culture they were working towards.

4. Any advice you have for someone considering the CRE industry?

As someone who has consistently embraced a growth mindset, I firmly believe in the importance of setting personal goals that are not only aspirational but also measurable and trackable. Success in commercial real estate is rarely linear, and moments of failure are inevitable. Nevertheless, being part of a collaborative team can transform the journey into a far more enjoyable and fulfilling experience. That said, it is crucial to join a team where the collective vision surpasses individual pursuits, with a shared commitment to building something greater than the sum of its parts.

5. What are you currently binge-watching?

I am not binge-watching anything. However, I am binge listening to a podcast from The Ed Mylett Show currently. The show features in-depth interviews with high achievers across various fields, including business, sports, entertainment, and personal development. Mylett explores topics such as success, mindset, leadership, personal growth, and overcoming adversity. I love self-help tools that help me grow into a more authentic, successful, and empathetic person. I can always learn something new!
