1.Favorite CRE event of the year and why?
The MNCAR Expo, hands down. The energy is high, it’s the one time you truly get everyone in the same room, and I love seeing the awards spotlight the people raising the bar for our industry.
2.What do you enjoy most about the CRE industry?
It’s a total people business. That’s the best part. We shape communities and local economies in real ways, but it still feels like a tight-knit ecosystem where you can compete hard at 2pm and share a laugh at happy hour at 5pm with the same “competitor.”
3.What are you currently binge-watching?
Anything Ken Burns touches is gold. I’m deep into The American Revolution right now, and it’s a strong reminder of the passion and the sacrifices that built this country.
4.Any advice you have for someone considering the CRE industry?
An early mentor told me this: your friends and happy hour buddies will become the presidents, partners, and decision-makers before you know it. He was right, so build real relationships early, stay in touch, and be the person who is always helpful. Your future self will thank you.
5.What’s the next place on your travel bucket list?
Alaska. Our family wants to rent the biggest RV we can find and go full adventure mode with mountains, wildlife, small towns, and plenty of “pull over right now” moments.
