Jason Butterfield is an accomplished real estate professional, having completed more than 900 transactions during the 20+ years encompassing over 7.3 million square feet. His efforts are focused on landlord and tenant representation, specializing primarily in the Twin Cities’ office market. Throughout his career, Jason has developed a reputation for his extensive knowledge of the local marketplace. In fact, his keen understanding of the market has proven invaluable in representing clients in their real estate dealings. Jason’s clientele includes a variety of prominent companies, including AT&T, HealthPartners, Nestle, New York Life, Unilever and Wells Fargo, which have relied on his aggressive negotiation skills to help secure their interests as tenants. Landlords, such as Equus Capital Partners., MetLife, Opus, and Ryan Companies, have benefited from his tenacity and commitment to maximizing their real estate investments.  Work Experience Jason entered the commercial real estate industry in 1999 working as an intern in the Research Department of Grubb & Ellis Company. This foundation, along with his drive and determination, quickly earned him an associate brokerage position within the company. Prior to joining Grubb & Ellis, Jason worked as a Junior Analyst for an investment broker at Merrill Lynch in New York. Professional and Community Involvement Jason is a member of the National Association of Office and Industrial Properties (NAIOP) as well as the Minnesota Commercial Area Realtors (MNCAR), for which he previously served as a member of the Board of Directors and Chair of the Program Committee. Jason is also a member of the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) and received the Costar Power Broker award numerous times as one of the top fifteen brokers in the Twin Cities marketplace. Education Jason earned a B.S. degree from the State University of New York at Fredonia. He majored in business administration, with a concentration in finance.
