Jon Fahning is the Director, Real Estate Development for The Tailwind Group, Inc. while also operating and serving as a Primary Broker under his own real estate brokerage and development company. Jon has been involved in may high-profile developments in the Upper Midwest and through out the United States, in addition to projects globally.  He brings 28+ years of progressive and diverse experience in real estate development and is focused on bringing solutions based on profitability, performance, and value.  He has served in a series of roles in and around real estate and land development arenas.  His industry and client experience includes commercial, retail, multi-family, senior, mixed-use, and land development organizations.  His involvement encompasses acquisition, entitlement, design, development, construction, leasing, and disposition of projects ranging from ½ acre to well over 9,000 acres within the domestic and international environments.  Jon maintains a hands-on approach to all levels and types of development, making him a unique member to any team or project.  Jon is a graduate of Iowa State University with a bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture and Land Planning (BLA), with an emphasis in urban planning and real estate development. He has been actively involved with many professional organizations, including Minnesota Shopping Center Association (2019 President), International Council of Shopping Centers, and Urban Land Institute, along with MNCAR, while also serving on a series of not-for-profit boards.
